I have been told by people who have been looking at my work for a long time that they would like to see more of my old style of work. I think that the concept of my work and what I like to do has not changed, but after 10 or 20 years of making art, it seems to have changed. Just as individual lines come together to form a thick line, or a pattern with no outline comes together to form a single shape, so the works I have simply continued to create have become what they are today. <Kanko Umeda>
